The Ascension of the Lord

R. God mounts his throne to shouts of joy: a blare of trumpets for the Lord.

Written by Chenele Shaw

In the midst of life's storms, when hope seems to slip away, I find solace in the belief that God ultimately sits on the throne. While navigating the unpredictable twists and turns of life, I have encountered moments when despair threatens to consume me. It is during these times that I draw strength from the knowledge that a God reigns over all.

There are moments when the weight of the world feels overwhelming. The pressures of work, relationships, and personal expectations that can suffocate my spirit. In those moments, it's easy to lose sight of the bigger picture. But then I remember that God is in control, that His wisdom surpasses my understanding.

God having the throne brings a sense of order to the chaos and reassures me that even when things seem bleak, there is a divine purpose at work. I find comfort in knowing that the trials I face are not in vain, but rather part of a greater plan that I may not fully comprehend and the hope that God will grant me peace.

When I have the temptation to stop praying, going to mass, and believing that the God of the universe cares about me I think,

"I will never know peace.”

But I need to hear,

Be at peace.
Because God is holding you in existence.
Be at peace.
Because God knows your heart.
Be at peace.
Because your anxiety is a liar.
Be at peace.
Because you are exactly where you need to be.
Be at peace.
Because despair will not consume you.
Be at peace.
Because God is on the throne.

Please pray for me. I'll be praying for you!
